This Is How We Buy Eggs In Amerika

Of course an exaggeration and most of us use cars (too much) but what happens if you run out of eggs the day after a snow storm and you want to take your youngster out for fresh air and exercise?

It’s really not that bad esp when temps are in bearable 30s, it can actually be invigorating too and good for the kid. As long as you’re not in a hurry that is =)

I love the concept of sari sari stores. It was so nice to walk a couple houses down and get everything from a bottle of pop to a dried fish. My MIL always had to count my change though to make sure I didn’t get scammed even if it was her neighbor.

Ed, sometimes I miss being able to buy just one tomato, or one clove of garlic or one ice candy wrapper of soy sauce. Funny about your MIL not trusting your philippine peso math skills.
